The grounds of the facility are maintained by a supervised offender work crew. This courtyard is used as recreation space for offenders.

Parenting program
The Anthony Living Unit houses the parenting program at Shakopee. Some single rooms in the unit are equipped with a trundle bed for a minor child for an approved overnight visit with his/her mother. |
